Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Proof of Edge Academy ("we") collects, why, and your choices.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, hashed password (we never store plain-text passwords), consent timestamps, membership status.
• Usage data: lesson progress, quiz results, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and reliability.
• Payment data: crypto payments are processed on-chain and/or by our payment processor. We store the invoice reference and payment status — we never receive or store card numbers or wallet private keys.
• Telegram: if you use our bot or community, we store your Telegram chat ID to deliver messages you requested.

2. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
• We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the platform.
• We do not request exchange API keys or access to your funds.

3. How we use data

To provide the Service (account access, progress tracking, alerts you subscribed to), to secure it (fraud and abuse prevention), to improve it (aggregate, de-identified statistics), and to send service communications. Marketing messages, if any, always include an opt-out.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage: your session token, your consent record, and interface preferences. No cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data sharing

Only with service providers strictly needed to operate the platform (hosting, payment processing, email delivery), each bound to use data solely for that purpose — and where required by law.

6. Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time via support@proofofedgeacademy.com; we will comply within 30 days, except records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent to non-essential processing. EU/EEA and UK users have the rights described in the GDPR, including complaint to a supervisory authority.

8. Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard key-derivation hashing, transport is TLS-encrypted, and databases are backed up encrypted at rest on our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of any material breach.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to persons under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
